Living Room Downloading
Famous Ooba script for Xbox Media Center (XBMC) allows for custom urls to be parsed. After i saw Sabnzbd, a news binary downloader that accepts Newzbin.com Post IDs as input, i had an idea. I wrote a parser on Ooba for Newzbin.com. With it now i can browse posts on Newzbin site using the xbox, and send the postids to Sabnzbd, which will start to download. When the download is finished, sabnzbd verifies, fixes using par2 and extracts the posts. So now you have the movie ready for your viewing pleasure. You did not leave the living room, didn't touch your pc but your Movie is ready to be watched :) This is what i call Living Room Downloading. Another parser on Ooba for Sabnzbd web interface allows you to check the status of your downloads, pause/resume transfers etc... I will share the details soon, let me know if you are interested...
